Marble AR, Inc.

1. What connects you as a team?
I'm my own team :-)

2. Why are you participating in the Hackathon?
First of all, because I love hackathons and did a lot of them already. Then, I am heavily into location-based AR and was very curious about the possibilities Huawei's AR framework offers. So, a hackathon is the best way I can think of to learn more about it, especially if it is run in close collaboration with the vendor. Very excited to be part of it.

3. It's snacktime: What gives you the necessary energy or what’s your preferred work place?
A small wooden bench in our garden. You can see it behind my daughter who is trying out our app :-)

4. What are your highlights in Düsseldorf or what is your connection to Düsseldorf?
After I looked at all the great content about tourist locations we got provided by the organizers, I was actually pretty impressed about how many interesting tourist locations Düsseldorf has to offer. Since I am a huge fan of electronic music, my personal favorite is the Salon des Amateurs. Would love to hang out there when they have a gig. And I was totally unaware of the Kraftwerk's Kling Klang Studio and would love to see that, too.

My connection to Düsseldorf? Well, I haven't been there for years. But actually, some of my (remote) family live there, who I haven't met for decades. I can still remember feeding some ducks at Schloss Benrath (I believe), when I was a toddler. Which is about 45 years ago now...

5. How do you collaborate in the days of Corona?
Completely remotely. But that was our usual working style even before the pandemic :-)

6. If applicable: How do you collaborate across borders?
I founded my start-up in Los Angeles and our team is spread across the continents, with some guys located in Germany, others in the States (Seattle, L.A.) and one in Lithuania. Works.
